Starbucks

There is such a great difference in service standard at different Starbucks. Some have very good customer service but some merely any unless you are caucasian. I don't understand the logic here. I pay the same price but why am I getting sub standard service? I am as friendly, greeted the gal at the counter like any caucasian does. I believe in making someone's day by being the one to smile and greet 1st.

Another Starbuck I went to near my office. I get fantastic customer service. I was deciding what coffee beans should I get and there she is, came along and give suggestion according to my preference.

Birkenstock Wheelock, Singapore

I just got a pair of sandals from Birkenstock at Wheelock. I went there for about 3 times before I decide on the pair of sandals. The service by the younger sale assistant was somewhat passable but there is one older lady there that is very good with her recommendation.

Overall I am very happy with the service.

Kuriya Dining at GWC

I had been to Kuriya 2 - 3 years ago. In my memory, I enjoyed the food. I happen to crave for a sumptious Japanese dinner so I went there with a friend. Less than 15mins, I have to walk out of the restaurant. I wouldn't pay the price $60 for a set meal that includes beef tongue and sardine sashimi. There is no other choice in the same price range, only higher. I will pay as much as $200 for a meal if that is palatable to me, but not this.

The service was superb, I explain to the waitress that I do not find anything that I fancy on the menu and will not dine there. The tea has already been served, do I have to pay for that. It was complimentay according to her and she send us off smiling politely.

I will definitely go back when they change their menu seasonally.
